President Dr Lazarus Chakwera told Parliament that his Administration will engage top gear in the health sector to stop the spread of diseases including the deadly COVID-19.

The President highlighted the following:


--Eliminate AIDS by 2030.

--Treating 29000 TB patients, half of whom are children.

--Eradicate malaria, a top killer disease.

--K2.4 billion for COVID-19 prevention.

--K3.9 billion for procurement of PPE's.
