Malawi has gone three days without Covid-19 death



As the fight against the Coronavirus in the country is still on, for the past three days no Covid-19 related death has occurred.

According to a daily report released by the Ministry of health in conjunction with the Presidential task force on Covid-19, the fight against Coronavirus is progressing.


For the last 24 hours, Malawi has registered 14 new cases and at least 16 people have recovered from the virus without a single death.


As it stands, the country has 1902 active cases with over 3000 recoveries.

Since the country registered its first Covid-19 cases over 5000 people tested positive for the novel coronavirus.


Dr. John Phuka chairperson for the presidential task force on Covid-19 is urging people to continue following preventive measure with an aim of defeating the virus as the progress s still there.

Among others, maintain social distance, wash hands with soap always, put on a mask when in crowded places and seek medical attention when you feel unusual sign that might be related to covid-19.
