Lawyers for murder convict Misonzi Chanthunya are to appeal against the ruling.

High Court Judge Ruth Chinangwa has this morning handed Chanthunya life imprisonment but his lawyer Michael Goba-Chipeta has hinted on an appeal.

According to Goba-Chipeta the appeal is on the basis that the ruling violates a number of principles of law.

Chanthunya murdered his girl friend, Linda Gasa in 2010 and fled to South Africa before his repatriation in March 2018.
