Malawi Government Plans To Build Sports Stadium In Dowa

Government has revealed that it is on course to start building a general sports stadium in Dowa district.

According to the district council, money to build a stadium in the district was allocated a few years ago but the project failed to take off.

Making the revelations Deputy Ministers of Local government Hon. Halima Daud said that people in the district must remain calm as this project is well spelt out in the tonse alliance agenda.

The Deputy Minister stressed that the stadium is part of a number of infrastructural developments that are coming to the district which also include DC’s offices.

Soccer lovers in the district have hailed this development. One of the big teams that carry the district’s flag in football is the people’s Mlatho Mponera FC.
