The Malawi Electoral Commission has suspended registration of new voters in Mangochi North East Constituency

This follows an injunction granted by the High Court to one of the aspirants on 18th September, 2020 which is restraining the Commission from registering new voters, receiving nomination papers and using presiding officers that worked during the 21 May 2019 Tripartite Elections.

The Commission will proceed with voter verification and replacement of lost voter certificates in Mangochi North East Constituency up to 27th September, 2020.

Effective Friday, August 28 2020, Airtel Money fees when cashing out at an agent will be reduced by up to 50% from the Previous range of MK20 – MK12,500 to a new revised range of MK20 – MK7,000. In a press statement made available to The Maravi Post, Airtel Money Director Polycarp Ndekana that the move will enable Airtel Money Customers to transact at a cheaper cost and keep enjoying Airtel Money’s various services. Ndekana disclosed that the full price list will be released on Friday. “Airtel Money remains committed to enabling digital money transfers and payments to further increase financial inclusion in the country,” says Ndekana.
