Christopher Nyambose has returned to Chitipa United Football Club

In dramatic turn of events, Christopher Nyambose has returned to Chitipa United Football Club as Head Coach for the club in the Premier Division of Simama and Sons-SIMSO Northern Region Football League.

Nyambose, who also had a stint with Karonga United, has been coach for TNM Super League debutants Rumphi United for a few months after he parted ways with Chitipa United following their relegation from the top flight league last year.

Chitipa United General Secretary, Duma Ngoma, has confirmed the return of Nyambose on a one-year contract together with Gift Mkamanga as his assistant.

Meanwhile, Rumphi United General Secretary, Jones Mockton Mkandawire, says the club has only learnt about Nyambose's departure through the media, but the club's preparations for the new season will not be derailed as assistant coach, Jimmy Butao and team manager, Winston Katenga Kaunda, continue training the team whilst the search for a new coach is in progress.

This year's top flight football campaign starts on 26th February.
