Former Minister of Information, Henry Mussa and former director of Information Gideon Munthali have been denied bail.

The two who have been charged with theft by public servant and abuse of office appeared before the Principal Resident Magistrate's Court in Lilongwe after their lawyers applied for bail.


However, Principal Resident Magistrate Viva Nyimba has denied them bail saying the state still needs to make recoveries of the stolen items.

The court has since given the State seven days to conclude the recoveries. The court has since been adjourned to September 21.
